Hark! The Misericordia Angels Sang – and collected donations!

The 16th annual Angel Squad was a success. It was a cold, brisk December morning to start Angel Squad, but the kind wishes and donations from Winnipeggers kept our angel volunteers warm! Hundreds of coffees, hot chocolates, newspapers and biscotti were given in return. Donations to our Christmas campaign are still coming in, so watch for a total in the New Year. You can still make your donation by calling 204-22-ANGEL (204-222-6435).

One of our generous donors.

Misericordia staff, board, friends, family and neighbours from Westgate Mennonite Collegiate, St. Mary’s Academy and Balmoral Hall wore gowns, stood on the Maryland Bridge of Angels and collected donations for the Great-West Life Rooftop Garden and Solarium.

Angels take over the bridge!

Special angels Doug Speirs and Mick E. Moose got in on the fun.

Angels were everywhere — at Winnipeg Technical College, 201 Portage, Winnipeg Square and University of Winnipeg.

Busy at 201 Portage.

Thank you for your generous donations to date, and to our volunteers and sponsors throughout this year’s Angel Squad. Your support will enable us to turn the sod on the rooftop garden and solarium this spring so our residents can enjoy it this summer.

Merry Christmas to you and your family from the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation.
