Staircases a top priority at Misericordia

Construction continues

BIRD Construction is hard at work on redevelopment, even as Misericordia staff continue to carry on their daily tasks inside the health centre.

Two staircases are the main priority to establish safe exit routes in advance of the demolition of the Maryland and Sherbrook buildings. One staircase will be attached to the Cornish building and the other will be attached to the Riverview building to provide safety for everyone at Misericordia.

Demolition begins at Misericordia

Another priority is to move the library out of MHC’s basement and across the street into the MERC building. Similar side projects will take place as construction continues.
